Bursaries and grants towards graduate and postgraduate study in Norway

Overview

The Anglo-Norse Society in London is a registered charity. Its purpose is to promote understanding between Britain and Norway through learning about each other's country and way of life.

An important part of the Society's charitable work is to support scholarships for British students to pursue graduate and postgraduate study in Norway. The Society also says a new initiative is underway to increase the funds available for British students and to introduce grants for Norwegian postgraduates coming to study in Britain.

The Society runs a programme of events with talks by British and Norwegian speakers on subjects including politics, economics, history, art and literature. There are also showings of Norwegian films and occasional visits to places of interest.

Membership in London is both British and Norwegian, brought together by a common interest in Norway. The Society publishes the Anglo-Norse Review twice a year.
