Fulbright stipends for master’s or PhD level study or research in Norway, or an English Teaching Assistantship
Overview
Fulbright stipends cover two different things in Norway. One is the traditional Graduate Students Program, for master's or PhD level study or research. The other is the English Teaching Assistantship, where you teach in a Norwegian high school.
The graduate stipends are open in all disciplines. You can use one at any accredited Norwegian university. The catch is time: the foundation only funds students planning a minimum of one academic year of study in Norway.
The ETA side has a specific job. It aims to strengthen English language instruction and knowledge about the United States in Norwegian high schools. Up to three ETA awards are offered.
One rule to check early. If you have already begun your studies at a Norwegian university, you are not eligible.
