Full tuition fees for up to two years if progression requirements are met; some recipients receive one year of tuition
Overview
The Master International Scholarship is an entrance award from BI Norwegian Business School for international candidates starting a full-time master's degree at the Oslo, Bergen or Trondheim campus. It is aimed at students with strong academic records, and the competition is high: BI says it receives far more applications from academically excellent candidates than it has scholarships to give.
BI assesses all candidates on the ECTS scale. If your bachelor's degree is from outside Norway, BI converts your grades to the ECTS scale. The minimum overall GPA to be considered is 4.0 on that scale.
The scholarship is not based on financial need. Selection is on academic merit, and BI also considers other academic achievements, GMAT or GRE scores, extracurricular activities and special personal achievements. BI reserves the right to award scholarships according to institutional priorities, which may include prioritising specific master's programmes, diversity and gender distribution, or selected partner schools.
You apply for the scholarship at the same time as you apply for admission, through the online application portal. There is no separate scholarship application letter for this award, but you do need to upload a CV and a one-page scholarship application letter explaining why you should be considered. Your application is only assessed if you have submitted a complete application for admission and accepted the offer of admission.
