What you will study
What you study
This is a Master of Science in Business Administration at the University of Agder, and graduates also receive the Norwegian title Siviløkonom. The programme runs for two years, 120 ECTS, in Kristiansand. For international applicants UiA offers two specialisations.
Finance (Analytical Finance) looks at financial markets for investment, risk and investment management, and advanced statistical analysis of large and complex data. You work with financial modelling, computer programming and quantitative analysis of real-world financial data. The point is to handle the growing volume of data in the finance industry and to apply finance theory to it.
International Business centres on multinational companies and how they operate. It also covers the challenges small and medium-sized enterprises meet when they enter international markets. You learn to analyse strategic and operational challenges and to handle them through strategy, management and marketing practices, and management control systems.
All compulsory courses and several electives are taught in English. International and Norwegian students are admitted together.
Admission, language and next steps
The programme is open to applicants from the EU/EEA and to applicants with a renewable or permanent residence permit in Norway. It is not open to applicants from outside the EU/EEA.

Deadlines are set by each institution for each programme, so confirm yours. Entry requirements and language tests are also set by the institution, so start from the official programme page. Our guides cover tuition fees, study permits and housing.
Facts on this page come from the Study in Norway register, the official English-programme list run by HK-dir, the Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills.
